Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara Music Review

Excel entertainment and the SEL trio have always come up with their best depictions as compared to both working seprately. So this automatically raises the expectations from their latest offering ZNMD .Lets find out whether they are able to keep the flag waving or crumble under heavy expectations! .The album kickstarts with a inspiring and tantalizing Dil Dhadakne Do which has a peppy and cheerful feel to it. The chorus singing the signature lines take this song to an all time high. Except this song to be the theme of this movie. Certainly a great start to the ablum which makes me look forward to other songs with newfound enthusiasm.

The next song in the album is the already popular Ik Junoon thanks to the refreshing Tomatino festival and some really catchy and groovy techno beats. This song inspite of a being a youngster's delight never once goes too loud or over the top which is quiet an achievement in today's scenario. so kudos to the composers for that and Vishal's vocals add the adequate spunk to the song.

Next in line is the soulful and melificious Khaabon Ke Parinday which has Mohit and Aleyssa at the helm of affairs. Both make this song really pleasant and soothing with their ear friendly vocals. Certainly a nice break from face paced numbers above lending versatility to the soundtrack.

Fourth track is the much hyped Senorita which has the lead protagonists lending their vocals. Some might have their reservations but this is the thing that make this song a unique experience altogether . The trio Hrithik , Farhan and Abhay have given their all to this number and it has written chartbuster all over it thus ruling the charts in days to come. The spanish singer also lends able support to make it a song that you will definitely revert back to.

The album takes a U turn with a soulful heart wrenching Der Lagi sung with such honesty
and precision by Shankar Mahadeven that you have to admit that singer in him takes over the composer for once. Surely a treat for music buffs!

The album returns to its chirpiness with a fun and frolic Sooraj Ki Baahon Main which has vibrant and energetic feel attached to it. Certainly a song to be lapped with both hands by Gen-x!

Last but not the least the album winds up with Toh Zinda Ho Tum sung by Farhan in his now famous husky voice which is a philosophical take on life and is a beffiting end to this musical extravaganza.

SEL have really come back with a bang after the dismal GAME and provided an album which is not only their best work till date but a real musical treat for all people who have been starved of some really good music post 7 Khoon Maaf. By far the album of the year GO for it!

Picks:- Kab tak gine, Ik Junoon, Senorita, Sooraj ki Bahoon Main.

RATING : ****1/2
